We took a little vacation to Phoenix in November.
We had a FABULOUS time!
Richard actually went to Idaho to hunt with his buddy, Jared. They had a great time. He got to hunt all day for 3 days AND went horse back riding...so he was very happy.
The girls and I decided to go to AZ that weekend, since my parents were going to be there visiting too. We are definitely planning to go back!
This is my sweet and amazing Grandma Carlson. We stayed at her house and she put up with all our rowdiness for 5 days! :) I was so happy to go visit her!
And since my parents were in town we had entertainers! My girls LOVE to play with Grandma and Grandpa.
The first full day we were there we went to a little park that had some fair rides. We rode the train right away. Natalie was nervous that it was going to be loud so she is plugging her ears. She did pull her fingers off when she heard that it was just a bell and not a loud whistle! She had fun with Grandpa!
Next the girls rode the merry go round.
These women (Grandma, Mom, and Aunt Nancy) couldn't stop raving about my children! :) They were good cheerleaders and together we got some really good pictures!
My jail bird.
This was their favorite ride.
My dad bought popcorn, which Natalie quickly confiscated. :)
Me and Grandma. You can see where I get my height from. :)
There were a few different parks in Grandma's neighborhood. At this one the girls found a potato bug. They were so excited! They carried him all the way back to show the grandma's and grandpa. (He's on the rock they are both holding)
My grandma has fake grass in her yard. So Natalie would bend down and feel it to make sure that we were at the right house. :)
My grandma LOVES sports. Love may be an understatement. I will always remember her watching some sport on tv...football, baseball, basketball, tennis.
We spent a LOT of time out on the grass playing. My dad would chase the girls and the girls would try to catch him. They played "gitty up horsey". There was one bad spill...but not too bad when you think of all they played out there and how crazy these girls are!
Grandma reading to Natalie.
Grandpa attack!
Makenna and Grandma
Richard flew in to AZ the night before we left and flew home with us. I was glad he got to see Grandma! These two spent a lot of time together when we lived in Utah County. I know she was excited to see him too! :)
